I guess the title is clear and good enough to know what to expect or at least what to do in this game. From the developers behind the addictive Love Balls comes another equally fascinating and mind twisting puzzle game. Happy Glass is a simple yet fun and surprisingly tricky physics-based puzzle game brought by Lion Studios. The game will take you to a series of challenging levels with a varying range of difficulties that will put your skills and knowledge on a great test. As what the title suggests, the goal is to make the Glass happy by successfully filling it with water. Simply draw a line that will convey the water to the empty glass.
The mechanics for Happy Glass are generally simple and easily manageable. The game welcomes you with a very simple and doodle-like interface. A level is often composed of three main elements; the pipe where the water will come from, the empty glass and the blocks that could either help and harm you in the process. To start the game, simply try to draw a line that will successfully convey all the water from the pipe towards the empty glass.
It sounds simple but the game is surprisingly tricky and challenging especially when you reach higher levels. The blocks that are randomly placed on the screen should be used as a tool to help you convey water smoothly towards the empty glass. The level is cleared if you managed to fill the glass with water. You can show how the emoji slowly turns from sad to happy which indicates a positive result.
Happy Glass has a creative scoring system. Each level is rated from 1-3 stars where 3 stars is the highest. Interestingly, this rating system is entirely based on the length of the line you draw. Located above the game screen is the score meter which is divided into three parts. Each part corresponds to a single star. Every time you draw a line, the score meter will deplete. If you consumed or exceeded the first line, it means that you also lost a star. Therefore, the shorter the line you draw, the greater the score you will earn.
The rate of difficulty in Happy Glass is also drastically increase as you progress. There are over 2000 levels to be explored which give this game remarkable longevity. Eventually, you will encounter moving obstacles and mechanisms which add more challenge to the game. Since the game is not being timed, it is always ideal to visualize the puzzle carefully before making a move. Take note that the water will start to pour as soon as you draw the first line and this process cannot be undone.
Hints and Upgrades
Some levels in Happy Glass are simply inescapable but just in case you find yourself stuck on a level after many attempts, you can always take advantage of the game’s Hint features. However, in order to use Hint, you must watch a rewarded video in exchange. The hint will reveal an outline that you just have to follow in order to make it through the level. Aside from the Stars, players can also win prizes through Spins. You can spin a wheel and earn coins or Hints but you have to watch another ad in return.
The coins you earn can be used to upgrade the skins. Simply head over the Pencil icon from the main menu to access the shop. Here, you can customize the color of the Water, choose your colorful pencil or pick your preferred Face emotion.
Those who have enjoyed the Lion Studios’ Love Balls, will surely find Happy Glass equally addictive and fun. It works perfectly well even without an internet connection (except the fact that you cannot win coins or use your hints). The game has an overwhelming amount of levels to explore and the fact that you can always go back to previous levels provides the game remarkable replay value and commendable longevity. Currently, Happy Glass is available on both Android and iOS devices and you can download this game absolutely for free. Have fun!
