Embark yourself in an action-packed shooting survival adventure brought by Miniclip’s Mini Militia – Doodle Army 2. Interestingly, the game is more likely a stand-alone sequel to the first Doodle Army game. The first game, as what the title suggests, features stick figures and random doodle-like images. Mini Militia – Doodle Army 2, however, offers a vast of wonderful improvements which makes it way far better than its predecessor. The objective is simple, enter the multiplayer battlefield and fight against your survival. Using your trusty weapons, eliminate all players you will encounter along the way. If you think you have what it takes to win this match, feel free to explore Mini Militia – Doodle Army 2 and see how long can you last.
The mechanics for Mini Militia – Doodle Army 2 are very simple and easily manageable. As soon as the game begins, you will be prompted right away to the 2D battlefield. It comes with a simple set of controls yet the players are still encouraged to master them in order to become more effective and efficient in every battle. You can move around the screen using the virtual joypad located on the lower left corner of the game screen. Each character is armed with a jet pack which allows you to stay on midair for a long period of time.
Shooting is done by tapping and swiping the red virtual joypad on the lower right corner. You can also hit punches by tapping the “punch” icon or throw grenades by tapping the grenade icon. Again, the most important thing you need to consider is to survive. Each battle will run for a certain duration and you should make the most out of it. If you get killed, you will respawn back to a random location on the map. All you need is to keep on fighting until the time ran out. The player with the most number of kill wins the match.
One of the most interesting elements of Mini Militia – Doodle Army 2 is the weaponry system. The game comes with a wide range of weapons you can use in the battle. Unlike the typical shooting game, the weapons are not instantly available for purchase. In fact, you cannot really purchase them at all. Weapons are randomly scattered on the map and you just have to pick them up. You are equipped with a pistol and 3 grenades by default. As soon as you encounter a new weapon, simply move over the item and you will be asked to Collect and Use It.
Take note that you can only use one weapon at a time unless you activate the Duel Wield feature which is part of the Pro Pack account (you need to upgrade the account to do so). Therefore, if you are holding a shotgun and you happened to find a Bazooka. You will leave the shotgun behind and use the new weapon. To make your character more effective, you can always take advantage of the Upgrades from the Store (accessible via the Main menu). Here, you can upgrade your characters attributes, regen capability, and other weapon improvements you can use for your own advantage.
Pick Your Game Mode
It is interesting to note that Mini Militia – Doodle Army 2 comes with three playable campaigns. There’s the Quick Play which allows you to fight against 5 other players and choose your preferred map. You can also Play Online and pick any of the three submodes such as Free-For-All (Survival), Team Deathmatch (coop) and Custom Game which allows you to pick modes set by various players using special servers.
Local mode, on the other hand, also comes with 3 playable submodes similar to the online campaign. The only difference is that, the players can reach up to 12 per battle in this mode. Mini Militia – Doodle Army 2 also comes with a ranking system. The more wins you got, the higher the experience you earn. If you have earned enough, you will soon reach a higher rank and compare your reputation with your friends (you must sign up an account with Mini Militia to access such feature). You also have the option to customize your avatar.
Mini Militia – Doodle Army 2 is truly an engaging game. It comes with decent action and impressive animation and definitely better than the predecessor in almost all aspects. The game comes with well-polished graphics and well-fitting music. The unfair matching of the players is the only downside of this game but if you are up for a challenge, it is definitely something to look for. Overall, Mini Militia – Doodle Army 2 is a game worth playing and something you can add on top of your game list. You can download Mini Militia on both Android and iOS devices for Free.
