The Gameplay

The mechanics for Pet Rescue Puzzle Saga is generally simple and absolutely manageable. It is a match 2 puzzle which works differently from the iconic Candy Crush Saga of King. Instead of sliding and matching three identical tiles on the grid, all you need is to tap two or more tiles of the same color that are located adjacently to one another. Despite the apparent simplicity, the game still offers a decent amount of challenge since you are only given a limited amount of moves per level.

Pet Rescue Puzzle Saga will take you to a series of challenging levels with various range of difficulty that will put your skills on a test. There will be different objectives as well. The other set of power-ups are obtained through the game’s in-game shop. These are one-time-use power-ups which give you different abilities. You can manually remove a specific tile through the hammer, eliminate rows and columns and remove tiles of certain colors in one tap. These special tiles will also not consume a move which makes them more advantageous but since you can only use them once, make sure to use them wisely, otherwise, you’ll end up wasting them.

Pet System

One of the most unique features of the Pet Rescue Puzzle Saga is the Pet system. Every time you successfully rescued a pet, they will be placed on your pet rea. Just head over to the House Icon on the lowermost panel of the screen and it will take you to your adorable pet zone. Each pet will have specific needs which will be identified by speech bubbles. Simply tap the speech bubble to address their concerns and also to interact. A pet will ask for various things. They might ask you to bathe them, to play with them or to feed them. Each interaction will require a certain amount of Coins, the virtual currency that you can earn from each puzzle.

Interestingly, you can also customize the pets by giving them colorful outfits. Simply access the Wardrobe by tapping the speech bubble and tapping the Wardrobe button. The game doesn’t have a multiplayer function but it has an interactive leaderboard system that allows you to compete with your online friends. Just connect your Facebook account and you’ll see where your friends are.
