From the developers behind the successful Partymasters comes another equally addictive game! Bowmasters is an action game developed by Playgendary and published by Miniclip. It’s a turn based battle where your goal is to destroy your opponent in a most brutal way as possible. If you still remember PC games like Gunbound in early 2000s, then you will find notable similarities in this mobile game. Packed with hilarious and colorful characters, Bowmasters is indeed something to explore and enjoy. If you think you have what it takes to become the next Bowmaster, feel free to play this game and see how far you can go.
The Gameplay
The mechanics of the game are very simple and easily manageable. As soon as the game begins, you will be prompted right away to the first battlefield using your first default character. Robin is the first playable character in the game and the rest will be unlocked in the process. Here’s how it works. The game takes you to a 2D battlefield where the opponent is randomly placed on the far right side of the play zone.
To attack, simply tap and hold the screen to adjust the trajectory and drag it away or near your character to adjust the force. Release the hold to shoot. While adjusting the trajectory details like the Power and Angle are shown to help you shoot more accurately. The stage will also vary and changes dynamically and the opponents are also randomly generated. Despite the apparent simplicity, Bowmasters will still put your skills on a test!
Colorful Characters
Another great reason to enjoy Bowmasters is the overwhelming amount of characters that you can unlock. Currently, there are 41 insane and colorful characters to unlock. Most characters can be purchased through the game’s virtual currency while others can be unlocked by completing certain tasks. There are also special characters that can only be unlocked if you upgrade your account into a Diamond Membership. All characters, however, are part of the game’s microtransaction . Therefore, you can purchase them all using real money.
It is also interesting to note that each character possesses different weapons which adds a lot of diversity. Characters are also inspired from popular characters from movies, cartoons, fairy tale and pop culture. This includes Robin hood, Iron man, The Shark in Katy Perry Half time Show and many more. The game also take some iconic references from Mortal Kombat especially the Fatality mode at the end of each battle.
Other Campaigns
Aside from the main campaign, Bowmasters also offers other equally entertaining modes. After your ten successful battled, you will be able to unlock the Online PVP mode. As what the title suggests, this mode allows you to compete against another player online. There is also an epic mode about Bird hunting and Apple Shooting to test the best of your accurate shooting skills. Vs Friends Mode allows you to directly invite a friend and ask them for an epic duel.
If you are aiming for bigger challenge, you might as well want to compete on Bowmasters’ Tournament mode. Here, you will compete against various players and try your best to make it on top. If you think you have what it takes, then Tournament mode is definitely a game mode to explore. The character, by the way, can also be upgraded through Rubies (premium currency) to make them even more efficient and effective in the battle.
Verdict
Bowmasters is generally fun and addictive. There are so many colorful and hilarious characters to explore and I personally enjoy how they turn some favorite pop-culture characters into a hilarious parody. The overwhelming campaigns to explore provides the game an incredible replay value. Currently, Bowmasters is available for both Android and iOS devices and you can download the game for free. Good luck and have fun!
