The Gameplay

Incremental games are often defined by their overall simplicity and Sushi Bar is not different at all. The mechanics for this game are generally simple and easily manageable. The goal is clear and simple, serve sushi and make your business more profitable. Here’s how the game works. As soon as the game begins, you will be prompted to your first sushi bar. The bar is presented in a top down perspective showcasing a huge conveyor where the sushi plates are being passed on. This is a normal scenario from a typical Sushi restaurant.

Customers will start to arrive and occupy random seats. The first Sushi Bar can accommodate up to 28 customers at a time but you must upgrade it in order to reach such head count. Your first chef is Mr Hatakenaka whose expertise are Vegan Sushi. Basically, the first set of menu that you offer starts from Avocado Maki to Tofu Nigiri. Eventually, upon reaching certain levels, you can unlock other chefs that master Tuna and Mackerel. You just have to continue serving sushi until you have earned enough level to open a new shop.

Upgrades

An incremental or idle game will not be completed with the upgrades. In Sushi Bar, the success of your restaurant will mainly rely on your upgrades. Located on the lowermost portion of the game screen are three clickable icons including the Speed, Price and Seats. Each upgrades will change the game dramatically as you progress. Upgrading the speed allows your chefs to produce items much faster and it also increases the speed of the conveyor.

Price, on the other hand, increases the worth of each Sushi which can help you dramatically increase your profit. Seats will allow you to add additional seat and accommodate more customers. Aside from these three main upgrades, players can also upgrade the Chefs. This allows the chefs to offer more Sushi variants. Unlike the main upgrades though, the upgrades you can make for each chef is limited. You can eventually add another chef of different level of expertise upon reaching Level 7 and Level 15. Just take note however that all upgrades and their prices will increase exponentially.

Level Up Bonus

Another thing you can definitely take advantage with is the Level Up Bonus. Interestingly, every time you gain a new level, you will receive a Level Up Bonus. This will provide you additional coins with amount that increases exponentially as you progress. The only downside of the game however is the lack of areas to explore. There are only few items to upgrade which makes the entire game very repetitive.
